Local business and Computer Science: working together for success
As a member of York’s technology sector, the University want to show you what’s going on in the Department, and how they can work with you to move your business forward in these tough economic times.
On the night you will get a flavour of the cutting edge research they're working on, which may give you an iea of how they can help you with projects to push you ahead of your competitors.
You’ll also have the chance to meet students and hear about their projects, and how they’re preparing them for the workplace. You’ll find out more about how you can take advantage of these students through student internships: a cost-effective and flexible scheme where students can make a real difference to your business over the summer months.
The event is free to attend, with refreshments provided, and will finish at 6.30pm. You will also have time to network with other business colleagues from the local area as well as University staff, including the Head of Computer Science, Professor John McDermid OBE, and the Deputy Head for Teaching, Dr Steve King. Both have extensive expertise in teaching and research in the discipline, and would be very happy to talk to you about working together.
Reserve your place today on this free event by contacting Sarah Christmas on sarahc@cs.york.ac.uk or telephone 01904 433385. Please include your name, company name and contact telephone number.
